Wide Petal Poppy Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
Wide, cupped petals spread outward from a round, textured center filled with small dot-like stamens, giving the flower a distinctly open and full appearance on this coloring sheet. Each petal's edge curves gently inward, creating a soft, irregular silhouette rather than a perfectly symmetrical form. A slender stem arcs slightly to one side, with two elongated leaves branching off at different heights and a tight, rounded bud nestled near the upper leaf junction. Those large petal sections have enough surface area to really push gradient blending - try loading deep coral or scarlet at each petal's base, then fade toward a lighter salmon or orange as you move outward to the edges. The small dotted stamens at the center work best filled with dark burgundy or near-black, which anchors the whole flower and stops the eye from drifting. For the leaves and stem, contrasting yellow-green tones sharpen the botanical character without competing with the warmer petal colors.
